What is Hyperion EPM 11?
Hyperion EPM 11.2 is Oracle's new release of on-premise enterprise performance management (EPM) applications that offers a more effective solution by integrating planning, strategy, and execution into a seamless process.
Hyperion EPM, a modular suite of integrated solutions that work with both Oracle and non-Oracle transactional systems, can be deployed independently, and deliver a high degree of value. However, working together they can incorporate strategic, financial, and operational management processes while delivering a low cost of deployment and ownership.
Two popular EPM on-premise applications include Hyperion Planning, a centralized planning, budgeting, and forecasting solution that integrates financial and operational planning processes and improves business predictability, and Hyperion Financial Management, a comprehensive, web-based application that delivers global financial consolidation,reporting, and analysis in a single, scalable solution. It utilizes today's advanced technology yet is designed to be owned and maintained by the enterprise's finance team.

Hyperion EPM release 11.2.4 is now available and includes accessibility improvements and the ability to apply an update directly from Release 11.2.2 or 11.2.3.
For Oracle Hyperion Planning, you can now upgrade Oracle Hyperion Public Sector Planning and Budgeting applications from Release 11.1.2.4 to Release 11.2.4 using Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Lifecycle Management.
A new Planning utility called SetDBNEssbasePassword enables you to set database and Oracle Essbase passwords for a list of applications you provide.
